Supramolecule, like tetramer supramolecule tubular polymeric aggregates, J aggregate supramolecule structures and phenylene-ethynylene carboxylic acid derivative supramolecule assemblies, are subject to ongoing research as shown in figure 1 and 2. A lot of the reported synthesis procedures include precipitation, solvent evaporation or self-assembling during the preparation. Amongst the most actively researched properties of supramolecule are emission, HOMO-LUMO band gap and binding energy. Very often supramolecule are characterized by either UV, UV-Vis spectroscopy or mass spectrometry. High impact articles within this field report applications in catalysis, diagnostics or sensors (excluding biosensors).
