Nanorings, like DEKD pneumolysin membrane oligomeric nanorings, palladium nanorings and HuHF1-134 nanorings, are subject to ongoing research as shown in figure 1 and 2. A lot of the reported synthesis procedures include purification, dilution or self-assembling during the preparation. Amongst the most actively researched properties of nanorings are emission, cyclic voltammogram and quantum yield. Very often nanorings are characterized by either UV, UV-Vis spectroscopy or transmission electron microscopy. High impact articles within this field report applications in electronics, nanobiotechnology or magnetic materials.
