Nanoparticles
Nanoparticles, like gold nanoparticles, silver nanoparticles and silica nanoparticles, are subject to ongoing research as shown in figure 1 and 2. A lot of the reported synthesis procedures include precipitation, mixing or stirring during the preparation. Amongst the most actively researched properties of nanoparticles are colloidal stability, emission and surface plasmon resonance. Very often nanoparticles are characterized by either transmission electron microscopy, dynamic light scattering or X-ray diffraction. High impact articles within this field report applications in medicine/veterinary, diagnostics or drug delivery.
